Field training

Dox andI ( Mary), along with the GWPs Rover, Phan, and Lovey, have been going to the weekend field training classes at Len Jenkins Gundog training in Reading, Michigan. Len has the set up all there-training tables, chain-gang, many varieties of game birds, varied water for water retrieving, multiple fields with various types of terrain, licensed hunting preserve, good aiming gunners, and a wealth of knowledge and expertise. I like Len's positive approach to gundog training, in which the birds are the reward for doing it the ways the humans require. Pups and dogs get started correctly, so there are no undesired habits to undo later.
